Academic Transcription Projects

Academic transcription projects can be transcribing recordings from class lectures, academic seminars, classroom meetings or just about anything that you can think of that would take place on a college or university campus, inside or outside of a structured classroom.

Today some lecture series are made available for students to download on their iPods, so these lectures are being recorded and mostly with high quality recording equipment.

Obviously the subjects in academic transcription can be widely varied due the very nature of it coming from a college campus. Talk about getting a "free" education if you can land some regular student or faculty clients!

For instance, I recently transcribed a real estate series that was held on at a university on their business school campus. Economics majors may record lectures or series of lectures on economy, and so on.

Actually the opportunities are endless if you can land a couple of repeat clients between students and faculty that could keep you busy all year round!
